Hey, I’m Desiree — and I’m really glad you found this place.

This is a blog about the messy, complicated, deeply human stuff that most of us are quietly dealing with: why we love people who hurt us, why we can’t seem to make decisions without second-guessing ourselves, why money feels so loaded, why we sometimes look in the mirror and aren’t quite sure who’s looking back.

I’m a psychology researcher and writer with a master’s-level background in how the mind works — but I didn’t build this space to be a textbook. I built it because I needed it myself. Everything here is written honestly, grounded in real psychology, and actually useful in real life.

If you’ve ever thought, “I know what I should do — so why can’t I just do it?” — you’re exactly who this is for.

Who This Is For

This space is for you if:

  • You’re trying to understand your own patterns — in relationships, in how you think, in how you move through the world
  • You want psychology explained in plain language, not clinical jargon
  • You’re healing from something — a relationship, a chapter of life, a version of yourself that no longer fits
  • You’re curious about how your mind works and want to use that knowledge to actually change things
