What is Human Design?
Human Design is a science and system that uses quantum mechanics, elements of astrology, the Chinese I Ching, the Hindu-Buddhist chakra system, and the Kabbalah to explain a mechanical reality.
Your birth time and birth date create a unique “blueprint” that explains your authentic and inauthentic characteristics and tendencies. The information provided in Human Design is meant to help you make better choices according to your Type, Definition, and other characteristics in your unique “blueprint”.
Before I explain what I mean, I must talk about where Human Design came from and honor the late Ra Uru Hu, who is the founder and messenger of this esoteric teaching.
Where Did Human Design Come From?
The Founder, Ra Uru Hu, attributed Human Design to a spontaneous mystical experience he had in 1987.
Ra says a Voice, as he described it, stayed with him for 8 days and nights. During those 8 days, the voice relayed to him the system known as Human Design.
He began telling his story and teaching the system to others. 30 years later, the knowledge and wisdom continue to be taught in the International Human Design School and esoteric circles.
Other Names Attributed To Human Design
Human Design is described by three other names. They’re listed as follows:
- The Mechanics of the Maya translated – a blueprint to the world we live in,
- Science of Differentiation translated -teachings of individuality and the power of individuality, and how to find your individuality
- The Science of Awakening translated: teachings of wisdom, consciousness, understanding reality
Is Human Design A Cult?
There are some “culty” like things to it and I’ve witnessed some people unconsciously treat it like a religion, but it is not meant to be a cult.
Human Design makes bold claims such as: No Choice (fatalism), A Mechanical Reality, Neutrinos coming from planets and influencing humans (through or breath) Dual Consciousness, Magnetic Monopole, Personality & Design Crystals…
So yeah, it sounds culty AF! That’s why a person shouldn’t follow Human Design foolishly.
The main problem with Human Design is how the information is used and marketed. See, Human Design is just information. I repeat it’s just information.
Now, there is a lot of information involved with Human Design. It is said to take an average of 10 years of deep studying to fully understand all of its components. And 7 years of deconditioning to be “operating correctly.“
The Purpose Of Human Design
“Human Design is only and specifically for the transformation of an individual, one person at a time.
It’s not about what somebody else does or thinks.
This is the old way in which everyone is a sheep looking for some kind of wolf to guide them and abuse them and use them, take advantage of them, fool them. It’s not what this is about.

You transform through learning about your blueprint aka your Human Design.
Everyone has a unique body graph, aka a genetic blueprint, and this blueprint is stamped onto your soul at the time and location of your birth.
Your blueprint will show your karmas, purpose, personality, how you operate consistently and inconsistently.
It even shows you what areas of your life you are most likely programmed in, and you do not want any type of programming if you are trying to awaken to who you truly are.
It’s a fascinating system to learn about if you’re a nerd like me.
How To Get Your Free Body Graph
You can get your bodygraph, also known as a Human Design chart, in a few different ways:
- Online generators: There are several online generators that can create your Human Design chart for you based on your birth date, time, and location. Some popular ones include Jovian Archive, Ra Uru Hu official website, and MyBodyGraph.
- Readers & Analysts: A Human Design reader can create and interpret your chart for you. They can offer deeper insights and guidance, especially if you want to know more about specific areas of your life such as relationships, career, or health. You can browse Youtube and Facebook groups for dedicated readers and analysts.
- Apps: if you’re looking to study and explore your chart and current transits in-depth, check the app store on your phone.
Keep in mind that it’s important to have accurate birth information for an accurate bodygraph reading, if your birth time is not available, a basic analysis can be generated,
*Note*this will change the data on your chart but it will give you a good idea of some insight into your personality and life themes.
